As the days become shorter and colder, our bodies naturally crave slowing down and yet we often get busier and ignore this urge. Restorative yoga is a completely passive practice that utilizes props to support our bodies in all of the poses to aid in complete relaxation. By relaxing our muscles, lowering our heart rate, and allowing our nervous system to slow down, restorative yoga helps us to balance our fast-paced lifestyles. As we find stillness in the pose we allow for healing, both physically and mentally, which ultimately supports us in being more focused and effective. Restorative is accessible to people of all ages and skill-levels.
