Yogis practice balances poses to not only create a foundation for their asana practice, but also to increase their focus and core strength for a balanced approach to both their physical and mental health. Balance poses require the practitioners to hone in on their core muscles which support even and deep breathing. Through focused attention to the form of balance poses, a yogi will improve their overall asana (physical) practice.
Join Lindsay Sommers as she warms up your core, breaks down a few balance poses, then flows these balance poses together into a vinyasa-style class, ending with some stretches.
This class is perfect for those who struggle with balancing postures, as well as for practitioners who want to advance their practice.
