Go deep within—physically and mentally—by immersing yourself in a weekend of yin yoga! Learn the basics of yin yoga to craft safe and effective classes for yourself or for others. Yin Yoga focuses on the deepest tissues of our bodies–our bones, ligaments and joints. It also encourages us to go deep within our bodies and minds to access a place of inner stillness and peace.
Together we will practice and explore:
- The benefits of yin yoga
- It’s history and origins
- The science behind it
- The philosophy of yin/yang
- The three tenets of the practice
- How to practice and modify the classic yin poses
- How to craft a blissful sequence for yourself or others
This training focuses on the foundations of yin yoga and includes a manual that explains the basic elements of the practice and the poses, sequences to use in a class setting or at home, and a guided meditation.
