Arm balances are challenging and fun, but most people find them intimidating and unattainable. This workshop will break all those old thought patterns and get you ready to fly! We will move through a series of preparatory poses to ensure we are safely warmed up and engaged. This workshop will teach you the tools necessary to ensure that you arm balance safely and mindfully, so that you are not relying on momentum or force to lift off, but rather your own strength which is cultivated purposefully. You will be able to incorporate these tools immediately into your existing vinyasa practice, not only to arm balance but also to move your body more efficiently during your practice. We will explore many common arm balances and related variations and, if time permits, any others that you are interested in learning.
