A heathy spine and good posture is the key to vitality. This series will work to strengthen and align the spine from the inside out making larger movements in deeper poses more accessible and safer.
We will start with training the brain to make connections to the smaller more stabilizing muscles of the lumbo -pelvic complex and deep core stabilizers allowing for integration of the larger muscles in a safer way.
With a formal educational background in anatomy and biomechanics, and personal experience with major spinal injuries, Kelly feels it’s important to know what the purpose for each alignment cue is. So this series will tap into some basic anatomy of the spine, and surrounding structures making it great for yoga teachers to help teach safer more knowledgeable classes, however no prior knowledge is necessary as this is beginner friendly. Progressions and regressions will be given for all poses to be accessible for all levels.
$90 for 5 class series
Each week will build on knowledge given in prior classes but weekly drop-ins ($20) will still be beneficial. Contact Kelly directly if you are interested in earning CE’s for this course.
