200 Hour Yoga Alliance Approved Teacher Training Coming January 2024!
Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Program – 200 hour and 300 hour (coming soon too!)
We are very happy to offer the most comprehensive and teacher acclaimed yoga teacher training in the area.
Please … ask our graduates.
Barbara Paulsen: “I can’t imagine how new teachers are considered to be prepared to teach, when they have received little or no actual teaching time during training. I have my students involved in the teaching process early and often throughout the program.”
Barbara has created, copyrighted and packaged her intensive curriculum and integrated approach to yoga teacher training, providing a strong foundation in all of the eight limbs of yoga. Her caring way and ability to give individually to her students is a sought after gift. Her technique will grow your understanding, teaching abilities and spiritual depth from the very first class.
Certified by the Center for Yoga and the Samata International in Los Angeles, California, she has an eclectic background in Hatha Yoga. She is further inspired by the teachings of T.K.V. Desikarachar through her training with Larry Payne, PhD. Barbara has an impressive understanding of human anatomy which she applies in both teaching and in practice. Since 2008, Barbara has and continues to offer her unique training options which are certified through Yoga Alliance. As a yoga practitioner of 31 years, she rounds out her experience as a licensed massage therapist, reiki master and advanced pranic healer.
Upon completion of our Teacher Training program, you will be qualified to register as a yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, ”… the national education and support organization for yoga in the United States.”
This program is designed for students with a consistent yoga practice. All students of yoga are encouraged to apply, regardless of physical limitations. An advanced asana practice is not a requirement of this program, simply the desire to learn and full commitment to the program!
Here the planned dates for 2024. Weekends are 8:30am – 5:30pm.

Barbara took her first Yoga class in 1992, at the recommendation of a close friend who suggested that it would help with the grieving process. Barbara and her family had experienced the tragic loss of her two brothers.
In her words, “My first class was profound. I found a quiet space inside of me that allowed me to connect with my heart and start to grieve my loss. The next two years were very challenging, but my practice led me to open my heart and to trust my connection with myself, others and with the Divine. Over time, my Yoga practice became about seeing beyond myself, so I can hold a space for others to grow and achieve wellness through their practice.”
Barbara’s classes are influenced by the flow of energy. Each class includes movement, breath-work, meditation and practices to help reduce stress. “My greatest hope is to provide a safe haven for students of all levels and abilities, fostering a space for restorative acceptance, compassion and love.”
Certified through Yoga Alliance; E-RYT500, YACEP, POLY500, RM and LMT, Barbara has over 22,900 hours of teaching experience. She offers a 200 hour training and a 300 hour Advanced Studies Program, for those who aspire to grow their personal experience and understanding of yoga and become certified to teach.
Barbara was trained and mentored by Larry Payne, Ph.D, the founding father of Yoga Therapy in the United States. She believes Yoga is not only an amazingly inspirational experience, but also a powerful tool that anyone can learn and use to improve lives. Barbara’s teaching approach is inviting, personalized and inclusive. She embraces the belief that yoga is truly for everyone … and every body.
