Our good friend and Buti Yoga teacher, Keli Lezotte, has written a children’s book! The purpose of this story is to teach children (and adults) the importance of balance. In today's world we are overwhelmed and overstimulated which can create a confusing space for children. She wants our children to know the importance of kindness, passion, integrity, equality. Keli hopes this book encourages children to be magnificently themselves and embrace their true self all while maintaining sweet balance. To be strong and graceful. Humble and confidant. To know their self worth and express their true souls. To not hesitate for one second to be their authentic self. After all that is what it is all about. Be true to yourself, kind to one another and loving to all. It’s released on May 5th, but you can preorder it here! Jackie Ricketts, PT, RYT200, began practicing yoga about 15 years ago, initially seeking an exercise program that would be gentler to muscles and joints compared to other classes offered at the gym. She soon discovered the many physical and psychological benefits of yoga including increased flexibility and strength, improved posture and balance, and a reduction of pain and stress. Jackie was able to incorporate her love of yoga into her work as a school-based physical therapist, which further expanded her interest in yoga on a personal and professional level. Upon retirement in 2015, Jackie pursued a “second career” by enrolling in a Yoga Teacher Training program and completing her 200 hour certification in April 2016. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Join Jackie on Mondays at 10:45am for her Gentle/Beginner yoga. See our full schedule at anandayogahome.com/schedule. ... See MoreSee Less
